A behind-the-scenes look at building the North East Shine website: a custom ASP.NET Core MVC application for a Northeast Ohio service business. The project combines public-facing marketing pages, local SEO, quote capture, customer accounts, scheduling workflows, admin tools, and a lightweight interactive service-area map built without paid map APIs.

I recently began thinking about a good way to put together a sample site in .Net 10 that I could continuously upgrade and improve upon. I also wanted to incorporate my learnings when working more closely with AI tools (Claude Code in particular) and Azure Devops. The idea of this site was born and has now come to fruition.
